Qualifications

The Lead steam turbine Service Engineer role is critical to the America??s region and candidate should possess strong steam turbine design and servicing experience for and OEM machines, complex repairs solutions, and field execution experience along with strong understanding of steam turbine and balance of plant systems design and operations to be successful in this role

You have experience in steam turbine design and service engineering, repairs, product services and upgrade solutions for ST components

Bachelor??s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field of study from an accredited college or university with 4+ years of experience in steam turbine service engineering and 1+ years of field execution experience

(Catia), Power PLM, RPDM will be plus

Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and have strong service mindset

Capable of providing concise technical directions with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Deliver on commitments, sense of urgency to respond quickly and efficiently, proactive, self-starter

Change agent â?? ability to engage employees globally and empower teams to drive change

Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to recognize opportunities for productivity improvements

Responsibilities

As a member of the Steam turbine service engineering team in Americas, you will be an active contributor to the service engineering activities such as outage planning and field execution, complex repairs of OEM and OEM ST components, flow parts design using Power PLM and Catia, OEM re-engineering design of steam turbine components, and technical guidance to parts engineering and sourcing teams for the product design form, fit and function

This role will require you to partner with rotating equipment steam turbine design engineering teams globally for the product design and development to provide safe, reliable, and quality focused product solutions

Establish yourself as a subject matter expert by demonstrating a strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving mindset to support our customers

You will be an essential team member to service engineering team which requires excellent steam turbine technical and soft skills to support service engineering related activities in our region

As a Lead steam engineer â?? steam service engineer, you will be responsible to provide technical guidance to field engineers during outage planning and execution, service center support on major repairs, conduct and be part of design reviews for both OEM and OEM units

Lead service center repairs execution for major repairs of rotors, casings, valves, etc

Provide engineering disposition on findings (rotating and stationary components) based on technical risk assessments

Lead and participate product design reviews and technical risks discussion both internally and with customers

Lead design and service upgrades of steam turbine flow parts including implementation of service bulletins and technical information letters

Be part of and support product design reviews for complex upgrades and repairs

Disposition product/process non-conformances and support implementation of corrective/preventative actions

Support new product development and implementation of growth initiatives in the region for all targeted technologies

Collaborate and partner with sales/service directors, on site services, repairs centers, field engineers and parts engineering group to provide technical support and guidance
