What You’ll Do:
- Design and Architect LLMs: Lead the design and architecture of large-scale language models, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and efficient for real-world applications.
- Optimize Performance: Develop strategies to optimize model performance, ensuring efficiency in both training and inference phases, while keeping computational costs in check.
- Drive Research Innovation: Explore and implement novel approaches in natural language processing (NLP), neural networks, and transformer models to continuously advance our capabilities.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work alongside AI researchers, software engineers, and data scientists to integrate LLMs into products and services that delight customers.
- Monitor and Improve: Continuously evaluate and enhance model performance, implementing feedback loops, A/B tests, and experiments to fine-tune and improve LLM capabilities.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a growing team of AI engineers and researchers, fostering innovation and ensuring alignment on key technical goals.
- Stay on the Cutting Edge: Stay informed about the latest trends and research in AI and NLP, applying your knowledge to push the boundaries of language models and AI systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in AI research or software engineering, with a focus on large language models, natural language processing (NLP), or deep learning.
- Expertise in transformer models (e.g., GPT, BERT), neural networks, and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms, distributed systems, and the infrastructure required to scale LLMs across diverse applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages, with hands-on experience in building and optimizing LLMs.
- A deep understanding of text generation, semantic understanding, and model fine-tuning techniques for real-world language applications.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and high-performance computing for training large models.
- A passion for AI and language, with a vision for how language models can revolutionize industries such as healthcare, education, and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points:
- A PhD or equivalent research experience in AI, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience with multi-modal models that combine text, images, and other forms of data.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning and its integration with language models.
- A track record of contributions to the AI community, such as open-source projects, academic publications, or industry talks.
- Familiarity with distributed machine learning and model parallelism techniques for efficient training at scale.
