What You’ll Do:

  • Shape Responsible AI Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a company-wide Responsible AI strategy, ensuring that AI models and systems are aligned with ethical standards and best practices in the field.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, legal, and compliance, to ensure AI models are developed with fairness, transparency, privacy, and inclusivity at the forefront.
  • Monitor and Assess AI Models: Continuously assess AI models for potential biases, ethical implications, and risks, providing actionable insights to enhance model fairness, accountability, and interpretability.
  • Develop Frameworks & Guidelines: Create robust frameworks, guidelines, and governance processes that embed ethical AI principles into product development and deployment cycles.
  • Engage with External Stakeholders: Work with regulators, policymakers, and external advocacy groups to stay informed about evolving Responsible AI regulations, standards, and practices, and ensure our technologies align with these frameworks.
  • Promote AI Literacy: Drive internal education and awareness around responsible AI practices, hosting training sessions and developing resources to foster a responsible AI culture throughout the organization.
  • Research and Innovate: Stay at the forefront of responsible AI research, tracking trends, innovations, and legal developments, and integrate them into actionable strategies and frameworks.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science, with a strong focus on ethical AI, fairness, transparency, and governance.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing Responsible AI frameworks, ensuring that AI models and systems adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong understanding of the technical aspects of AI, machine learning, and deep learning, with an ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of AI ethics, bias mitigation, explainability, accountability, and privacy laws related to AI (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve Responsible AI goals across an organization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate responsible AI concepts, strategies, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Passion for promoting AI systems that have a positive social impact and prioritize inclusivity and fairness.

Bonus Points:

  • A PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Ethics, AI Governance, or related fields.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance for AI and familiarity with international regulations on AI ethics and privacy.
  • Knowledge of AI interpretability techniques (e.g., SHAP, LIME) and experience in explaining AI decisions in understandable ways to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with AI auditing tools, frameworks, or platforms that support responsible AI practices.
  • Involvement in AI ethics research, policy development, or thought leadership through publications, conferences, or community initiatives.
