Systems Analyst

About the Role:

This position is for a Systems Analyst with expertise in healthcare claims processing, requiring in-depth knowledge of the data related to all functional areas of the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) or similar large-scale claims systems. The ideal candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to interact effectively with multiple technical and user groups. The Systems Analyst will support ongoing releases, enhancements, and production defect fixes. Strong experience with Data Conversion, mapping rules, validation, ETL design, and programming logic is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems Integration Testing (SIT): Responsible for coordinating and managing SIT, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End-to-End Testing (E2E) for the MMIS and MES modules.
  • Testing COTS Applications: Test configured Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications, as well as the conversion and integration of data from other systems within Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES Modules and COTS products).
  • Defect Management: Manage defect triage calls with multiple vendors and track defects to closure in a timely manner.
  • Test Case Development: Develop test cases, create test data, verify software changes, and problem-solve issues escalated from developers or business users.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate results and progress of all UAT testing, including Test Summary and Execution metrics, to various stakeholders.
  • Defect Escalation: Track and escalate UAT defects through resolution.
  • Mainframe Testing: Significant experience with Mainframe Testing is required.
  • Testing Coordination: Coordinate and manage UAT, defect triage calls, and collaboration involving multiple systems, vendors, and teams.
  • Teradata Queries: Proficiency in Teradata queries is required.
  • Documentation: Track and maintain historical UAT testing information and ensure all testing milestones and documentation are up to date.

Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience with Mainframes, DB2, and Teradata.
  • Expertise in healthcare claims processing systems, particularly within Medicaid.
  • Strong proficiency in ETL design, data conversion, mapping rules, and validation.
  • Ability to understand project requirements and design, develop test cases, and provide solutions for testing issues.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of integrity, professionalism, customer service, and motivation.
