Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply AI and data science techniques to transform health professions education, focusing on areas like assessment, teaching, ethics, and equity.
  • Collaborate on impactful AI-driven projects to enhance learning and professional development within medical education.
  • Develop and implement AI models and data science methodologies tailored to the education and evaluation of healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in the development of new curriculum and educational materials based on data-driven insights.
  • Write manuscripts for publication, prepare grant proposals, and contribute to the department’s research agenda.
  • Engage with students, faculty, and staff to help build an inclusive and innovative learning environment.
  • Teach one course per year and actively participate in mentoring programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, MD, or equivalent terminal degree) by the start date of the position.
  • Demonstrated experience in AI model development and data science methodologies.
  • Background in health professions education or experience working with health-related data.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, including the ability to write research papers and grant proposals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Familiarity with applying AI to improve health equity or studying its impact on equitable access to healthcare.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: $61,000 - $74,100 (based on NIH postdoctoral guidelines).
