Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Product Ops AI/ML, the Senior AI/ML Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and deploying machine learning models to solve complex business challenges and generate actionable insights. As a key contributor to our AI and automation efforts, you'll bring your deep expertise in machine learning, data science, and programming to the table and help us revolutionize how we operate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model Development & Deployment: Build and deploy scalable, production-grade machine learning models. Own the full lifecycle of model development from data preparation, feature engineering, and training, to model evaluation and deployment.
- Technical Mastery: Apply a wide array of machine learning techniques to real-world business problems, using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NLP tools such as spaCy and NLTK.
- Collaboration & Experimentation: Partner with Data Scientists to enable productive experimentation and model construction, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Data Expertise: Work with petabyte-scale datasets, leveraging platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and ML tools like MLflow for prototyping and collaboration.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep your skills sharp and stay ahead of the curve with ongoing advancements in AI and machine learning, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our systems.
- CI/CD & MLOps: Manage the full MLOps lifecycle, including automation and integration, using tools like Kubernetes, Airflow, and IaC solutions such as Terraform.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience: 7+ years in machine learning, data science, and software engineering, with hands-on experience in model development and optimization.
- Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills:
- Expert in Python, R, or Scala, and familiar with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NLP tools.
- Strong experience with big data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) and CI/CD solutions in the context of MLOps.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, and other industry-standard tools for AI/ML deployment.
- Analytical Mindset: A strategic thinker with a sharp problem-solving approach who can tackle complex challenges.
- Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to engage with cross-functional teams and deliver results.
Physical Demands:
- This role involves extended periods of sitting and working at a computer, with occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
