As a Technical Program Manager in Artificial Intelligence, you will work alongside the brightest minds in autonomy and AI to translate our corporate strategy into actionable, detailed roadmaps. You’ll help drive cross-functional teams toward delivering innovative solutions that push the boundaries of AI and autonomous driving. What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate and Lead: Partner with engineering leaders across Perception, Prediction & Behavioral ML, TeleGuidance, Planning & Controls, and Collision Avoidance Systems to transform top-level corporate goals into detailed product roadmaps and timelines.
- Own the Roadmap: Develop schedules, track milestones, and identify risks, ensuring seamless coordination across teams to build AI-powered solutions for driving behavior improvements.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Work closely with engineering to define the key performance indicators (KPIs) for driving behavior and help develop the underlying datasets that drive those measurements.
- Proactively Manage Risks: Flag potential risks early, while devising and executing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Executive Communication: Build and deliver concise, impactful presentations to executives, providing clear insights on program status, issues, and accomplishments.
- Drive Impact: Be at the heart of autonomous mobility, working with cutting-edge AI/ML technologies, and contributing directly to Zoox’s mission to reshape urban transportation.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: 2+ years in engineering program management with a proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong familiarity with software development processes and tools (e.g., Gantt charts, JIRA, Smartsheet) for managing complex projects.
- Clear Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor communications to diverse audiences and create visualizations of KPIs and risks.
- Problem Solving: A strong track record of solving complex technical challenges and navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments.
- Educational Background: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent job experience.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with AI/ML, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, or large language models.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning, simulation, or automotive/aerospace processes.
- Experience scaling strategy, processes, and reporting in fast-growing companies.
- Strong references showcasing your ability to work with senior leaders and engineers across various teams.
Compensation & Benefits:At Zoox, we offer a competitive salary range from $140,000 to $278,000, with the potential for stock options, including Amazon RSUs and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. You’ll also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
