What You'll Do

As a Data Scientist, you’ll collaborate with claims business partners and analytics teams to deliver innovative solutions. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:

Collaborate and Strategize

  • Work closely with claims business partners to scope projects, gather requirements, and establish timelines.
  • Build strong relationships with peers across claims, IT, and analytics teams to ensure seamless implementation of AI solutions.

Innovate and Implement

  • Design and implement AI/ML solutions leveraging generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and multimodal models to support risk assessment and guided underwriting.
  • Build data pipelines that transform external data sources into actionable risk signals tailored for insurance applications.
  • Write production-level code that powers scalable machine-learning applications with exceptional performance.

Analyze and Optimize

  • Execute the entire AI/ML modeling lifecycle: data analysis, model selection, development, evaluation, and benefit estimation.
  • Research and apply cutting-edge techniques to enhance business outcomes through AI.
  • Stay at the forefront of AI advancements, identifying opportunities for innovative applications in the insurance domain.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a driven, innovative individual with the following qualifications:

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of experience building and deploying AI & ML models.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and experience with text analytics and Natural Language Processing (NLP) for insurance-specific datasets.
  • Familiarity with vector databases and their integration with generative AI tools for extracting insights from large document collections.
  • Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised modeling techniques, leveraging big data technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks and cloud-based analytics tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins to automate deployment pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance-specific corpus for AI model development.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a computational science or statistical field preferred.
