As a Staff Applied Scientist, you’ll tackle cutting-edge challenges, using petabyte-scale data to create AI solutions that have tangible impacts on the real world. From video-based safety to equipment monitoring, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping products that make industries safer and more efficient.
This is a remote position open to candidates in the US or Canada (excluding the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC Metro Area).
What You’ll Do
Lead the Way in AI Innovation
- Spearhead the design and implementation of critical AI product initiatives, from strategic research to tactical solutions.
- Solve complex problems using diverse data sources, including video, text, diagnostics, and location data.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to prototype and launch transformative AI experiences.
Build for Scale and Sustainability
- Work with petabyte-scale datasets to train, deploy, and optimize machine learning models.
- Utilize advanced tools like Spark and Ray to enable efficient data processing at scale.
- Stay ahead of the curve by integrating novel AI techniques from academic and industry research.
Drive Collaborative Impact
- Mentor and coach a talented team of scientists, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

What You’ll Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Math, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Applied Scientist.
- Expertise in building, deploying, and optimizing machine learning models in production.
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Spark or Ray.
- A strong understanding of the iterative ML product development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to distill complex problems into actionable insights.
- Effective communicator across technical and leadership audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD with a proven track record of high-impact AI deployments.
- Experience building ML tools to accelerate development.
- Hands-on work with large-scale AI systems, including IoT data applications.
