The Role: Director, Artificial Intelligence
This is more than a leadership position—it’s an opportunity to shape Southwire’s AI vision and revolutionize manufacturing, supply chains, and connected factories. Based in Atlanta Battery (hybrid work), you’ll lead transformative projects at the intersection of AI, IoT, and Industry 4.0.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of AI, you will:
- Drive Digital Strategy: Develop and execute a cutting-edge strategy aligned with Southwire’s growth goals, optimizing customer journeys and delivering world-class experiences.
- Lead Innovation: Champion emerging technologies like IoT, Analytics, Generative AI, and AR/VR to propel Southwire into the future.
- Build and Scale: Lead large-scale digital transformation programs, integrating AI and IoT into production facilities to unlock insights and efficiencies.
- Optimize Connected Factories: Improve supply chain visibility, manufacturing processes, and product quality using AI-driven insights and connected factory technologies.
- AI Integration: Implement predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and advanced analytics to optimize operations.
- Modernize Legacy Systems: Strategically upgrade aging systems with state-of-the-art solutions that enable scalability and long-term growth.
Your Expertise
We’re looking for a visionary leader with:
- 10+ years of managerial experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or technology-driven industries.
- Proven success driving digital transformation, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and IoT adoption.
- A solid technical background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Operations Research.
- Expertise in building systems for connected factories, optimizing KPIs like OEE, MTTR, and productivity.
- A data-driven mindset, leveraging IoT sensors, analytics, and digital twins for smarter decision-making.
- Strong change management and collaboration skills to foster cross-functional innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related technical field.
- Experience with RCA/RCCA processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with GenAI solutions and their integration into manufacturing systems.
- 15+ years of leadership experience and a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.
