What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Professor, you’ll:
- Drive Research Excellence: Conduct high-impact research in cutting-edge areas such as AI, cybersecurity, software systems, or human-centered computing.
- Inspire Future Leaders: Teach and mentor a diverse student body across BS, MS, and PhD programs, fostering talent that meets the demands of a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with colleagues and institutes to advance interdisciplinary research initiatives and secure competitive federal funding.
- Shape a New Era in Academia: Influence the development of the college’s culture, curriculum, and reputation as a leader in AI, cybersecurity, and computing.
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
- A PhD in Computer Science or a related field (completed by the start date).
- A strong record of high-quality research publications in selective venues.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-impact research areas such as AI, cybersecurity, AR/VR, or ethics in technology.
- A proven track record of securing external funding or experience aligning research with federal funding priorities.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, such as Broadening Participation in Computing (BPC).
- Evidence of excellence in teaching, with the ability to inspire and educate students at all levels.
