What You’ll Do

  • Architect and Lead: Design and deliver a scalable, cloud-native analytics platform, driving technical vision and execution across teams.
  • Be Hands-On: Spend 30% of your time coding, ensuring technical excellence and scalability.
  • Innovate Smartly: Assess emerging technologies to build solutions that balance operational efficiency, cost, and security.
  • Shape Strategy: Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and domain experts to define requirements and craft impactful solutions.
  • Drive Adoption: Represent Guidewire’s technical strategy to prospective customers and stakeholders, building trust through expertise.
  • Set Standards: Mentor junior engineers, enforce best practices, and ensure alignment with well-architected principles.

What You Bring

  • Proven Expertise: 5+ years of experience designing and delivering scalable data analytics and ML solutions in cloud environments like AWS (EKS, ECS, SageMaker, Redshift, etc.).
  • Big Data Mastery: Deep knowledge of distributed systems like Spark, Kafka, and open formats like Parquet and Iceberg.
  • Technical Depth: Proficient in languages like Python, Java, or Scala, with a strong foundation in microservices and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Cyber-Savvy: Hands-on knowledge of cybersecurity concepts for operating systems, cloud infrastructure, and network protocols.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: A proven track record of influencing teams and aligning stakeholders around a unified vision.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to C-suite executives.

Preferred Experience

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in InsurTech, FinTech, or P&C insurance domains.
  • ML Expertise: Hands-on experience operationalizing ML models (MLOps) and familiarity with GenAI frameworks like LLMs.
