Your Mission
As the ICS/ATD Systems Engineer, you’ll work at the forefront of training system design, development, and testing. From concept to delivery, you’ll lead key technical initiatives and serve as a trusted partner in international naval training programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Serve as the product owner for Advanced Training Domain (ATD) systems, leading technical discussions during coalition team meetings.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with global partners, including NAVSEA Warfare Centers, Program Executive Offices, and multi-national organizations, to address engineering-level issues.
- System Integration: Support the development of FMS Training Systems Roadmaps, training interoperability assessments, and interface specification updates for foreign military sales (FMS).
- Process Optimization: Review and recommend updates to system concepts, plans, and demonstrations to improve training efficiency.
- Technical Representation: Represent HII at the Integrated Training System Working Group (ITSWG) and other high-level technical exchanges.
- Documentation & Analysis: Prepare programmatic technical briefings, white papers, and reports on system capabilities and recommendations.

Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience in systems engineering for major shipboard electronic subsystems.
- High school diploma with 6 years of relevant technical experience accepted.
- Knowledge:
- Expertise in system-level integration and understanding of combat system interfaces.
- Citizenship & Clearance:
- U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance (active clearance required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Naval Surface Combat Systems, including Aegis and Ship Self Defense Systems.
- Familiarity with Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) or ATD systems.
- Experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and compliance with ITAR regulations.
- Knowledge of tools like DOORS and JIRA for configuration management.
