What You’ll Do
As the JSAF Warfare SME, you’ll play a critical role in shaping advanced training for fleet operations, ensuring readiness in the most complex scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Tactical Expertise: Provide insights into USN and OPFOR platforms and weapon systems to support Fleet Synthetic Training and LVC integration efforts.
- Technical Liaison: Act as the bridge between operational requirements and technical teams, communicating changes and collaborating with software developers to refine model functionality.
- Training Support: Enhance the realism of training exercises, including FST-GC/J, BMDEX, NUWTAC, and other high-profile operations.
- Leadership & Coordination: Guide team members in implementing reliability-centered maintenance philosophies and predictive testing strategies.
- Documentation & Analysis: Prepare and deliver technical briefs, reports, and recommendations to drive continuous improvement in training environments.
What You Bring
We’re seeking a dynamic professional with technical prowess, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of military operations and systems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree OR
- 3+ years of experience with a master’s degree OR
- 9+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of shipboard installations, electronic warfare, military tactics, and training exercises.
- Clearance: Secret Clearance (required).
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to analyze and evaluate system designs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with multiple naval operating systems and networking equipment.
- Certifications like CompTIA Security+ or experience in Cyber Security Workforce Designation.
- Experience with RedHat (RHEL 7/8), Microsoft patching, and advanced technical troubleshooting.
- Strong focus on customer needs and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
