Your Role

As an Adjunct Instructor, you will:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science, ranging from introductory programming to advanced topics.
• Design engaging course content, materials, and assignments to ensure students succeed.
• Support NJIT’s expanding graduate programs, including teaching at our Jersey City location, serving professionals in the NYC metropolitan area.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of academic expertise and practical experience to the role.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (PhD preferred).
• Proficiency in one or more key areas:
  • Data Science
  • Machine Learning
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Software Engineering
  • Operating Systems
  • Computer Networks
  • Databases
• A record of teaching excellence or significant industry experience in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of computer science pedagogy and the ability to effectively teach in both in-person and online environments.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for engaging with students and colleagues.
