Your Role
As an Assistant Professor in Software and Data Engineering Technology, you will:
- Teach and Inspire: Deliver undergraduate and occasional graduate courses in SDET, creating a stimulating learning experience for a diverse student body.
- Research and Innovate: Conduct high-quality research in areas such as:
- Applied Informatics/Analytics – Explore groundbreaking applications of informatics in medicine, health, energy, and materials.
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning – Advance AI/ML applications and develop novel algorithms and architectures with real-world impact.
- Digital Twin and Physics-Based Simulations – Lead research in robotics, autonomous systems, product design, and beyond.
- Mentor and Lead: Guide M.S. and Ph.D. students, publish in leading journals and conferences, and secure external research funding.
- Collaborate: Partner with colleagues across NJIT and industry to push the boundaries of applied engineering and technology.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a visionary educator and researcher who brings the following:
Required Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering field by the time of appointment.
- A record of high-quality research in software or data engineering technology or related areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industrial experience that complements academic expertise.
- Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level.
