Role Overview:

As an AI Agent Researcher, you’ll work at the forefront of AI development. Your mission will be to build intelligent agents with real-world decision-making capabilities, collaborating with the team to prototype and evaluate innovative methods in memory, reliability, and reasoning. If you’re excited by pushing the boundaries of machine learning, neural architectures, and agent-based systems, this is the role for you.

What We’re Looking For:

• Expertise: Deep systems engineering experience across the tech stack, with a focus on AI and machine learning.
• Holistic Knowledge: A strong foundation in machine learning theory and practice, along with expertise in neural architectures (transformers, etc.).
• Research-driven: Published work at leading AI conferences showcasing your research and innovations.
• Skills: Strong programming skills (Python, C++, CUDA), and familiarity with cutting-edge models like LLMs and ANNs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead groundbreaking research in AI agents, specializing in memory, reasoning, and reliability.
• Prototype and evaluate new state-of-the-art models and methods.
• Drive the direction of AI systems, collaborating closely with our team to innovate and iterate on advanced technologies.

Location:
On-site in either our San Francisco or Westwood (Los Angeles) offices.

2. Tech Dive (Virtual, 30 min): Learn more about Vast.ai’s systems and architecture.
3. LLM Coding Assessment (Virtual, 1 hour)
4. In-Person Meet & Greet (2 hours): Code, collaborate, and get to know the team.
