As part of the WEF, the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) focuses on harnessing the power of exponential technologies to create an equitable and human-centered transformation across industries, economies, and societies. With the rising influence of Data and AI in shaping the digital economy, we’re expanding our team to support global efforts in AI governance and policy.

We’re looking for a Specialist on Data and AI to join our San Francisco office and help us drive forward the responsible adoption of AI and technology worldwide. About the Role:

As a Specialist, you’ll contribute to the development and dissemination of content, help build strategic partnerships, and engage with key stakeholders globally. You’ll support one of the Forum's flagship initiatives, the AI Governance Alliance, which champions transparent, inclusive, and responsible AI design. This role places you at the intersection of technology, policy, and governance, collaborating with global leaders in business, government, and civil society to drive impactful AI governance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate & Manage: Oversee initiative plans, timelines, and milestones for our AI Governance initiatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Community Building: Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential partners, amplifying the reach and impact of our AI governance efforts.
  • Content & Dissemination: Use digital and traditional media to share content, create engaging materials, and promote the Forum’s work across digital platforms.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to advance projects, contributing to high-level presentations and policy recommendations.
  • Event Coordination: Support event logistics for thematic, regional, and annual Forum meetings, both virtual and in-person, as well as stakeholder workshops.
  • Trend Tracking & Research: Monitor the latest trends in Data and AI, helping to identify opportunities for further collaboration and innovation in the governance space.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree in Technology Policy, International Policy, or Public Administration is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in Data and AI ecosystems, governance, or policy—technical experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management, community engagement, research, writing, and presentation skills.
  • A passion for technology and AI, with an understanding of key players in the industry and governance bodies.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms and a command of written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus).
