As an AI Technology Management Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to share your industry knowledge and real-world applications of AI with motivated, diverse students. What You’ll Do
As an instructor for the AI Technology Management program, you’ll:
- Develop and update course content in collaboration with UCLA Extension’s Program Director to ensure it stays current with industry advancements.
- Engage students through weekly live Zoom office hours, Q&A sessions, and regular communication to foster a collaborative, interactive learning environment.
- Facilitate high-quality learning experiences through Canvas, including interactive discussions, assignments, and timely grading.
- Mentor students and provide timely feedback on assignments and projects, ensuring they understand complex concepts and can apply them to real-world problems.
- Collaborate with UCLA Extension’s internal staff to streamline administrative tasks and improve course delivery.
You’ll be teaching 100% online, allowing you the flexibility to engage with students from anywhere while ensuring a dynamic and interactive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in a tech-related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or High-Tech Industry Experience. Alternatively, 10+ years of hands-on industry experience in AI or related fields.
- 5+ years of industry experience directly working with AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics.
- Deep knowledge of AI fundamentals, including AI applications, hardware, software, networks, and databases.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning experience for students.
- Ability to convey complex, conceptual ideas to students at all levels with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Teaching experience at the college level is preferred, though not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and teaching courses on Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience with curriculum development and measuring student performance.
