In this unique position, you’ll be a driving force behind new AI technologies, streamlined workflows, and production pipeline innovations that will transform the way animated series are created. You'll partner with a variety of teams—from Studio Leadership to Artists and Show Leadership—to create a more efficient and tech-forward approach to animation production.
What You’ll Do:
- Revolutionize workflows by introducing Gen AI and new tech solutions to improve production processes.
- Lead innovation in collaboration with the CG pipeline Lead and Artist Community to enhance animation pipelines with new technologies and tools.
- Work closely with Content and Production Teams to identify problems and propose AI-driven solutions to improve speed, efficiency, and creativity.
- Develop machine learning models for seamless integration into production workflows, ensuring they drive real-world value.
- Be the go-to person for all things AI and technology—leading conversations, influencing creative decisions, and exploring new tech applications.
- Stay ahead of the curve with industry trends and cutting-edge technologies, continuously assessing how new tools can be implemented to solve challenges.
- Collaborate with external vendors and showrunners to explore innovative tech solutions and push the boundaries of animation production.
- Facilitate communication across multiple teams (Content, Production, Post, Show Teams) to ensure tech implementations align with creative goals.
What You’ll Need:
- 10+ years of animation production technology experience, with a deep understanding of 2D and CG production pipelines.
- Expertise in AI and machine learning—particularly with platforms like PyTorch and experience creating models for real-world applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python or C++.
- Extensive knowledge of Gen AI platforms and innovative workflows across the animation industry.
- A natural leader with the presence and influence to drive change and innovation in a collaborative environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage both creative and technical stakeholders effectively.
- The ability to think on your feet, navigate ambiguous situations, and solve problems dynamically.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and foster clear, effective communication across diverse departments.
- Willingness to travel globally to collaborate with teams worldwide and stay connected with the international animation tech community.
