What You’ll Do:
- Create the Future: Develop and execute a technical roadmap that aligns with RxBenefits’ strategic vision, ensuring the delivery of innovative products that meet customer needs and address key business challenges.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to provide expertise on technical operations, ensuring alignment between business goals and the company's technical initiatives.
- Lead with Vision: Guide your team through complex projects while ensuring that solutions are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance. Implement cutting-edge technologies and trends, including Generative AI and non-relational databases, to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Optimize for Success: Ensure the engineering teams are consistently delivering high-quality products, on time and within budget. Remove bottlenecks and continuously improve development processes to maximize efficiency.
- Team Development: Build and mentor a world-class engineering team. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and innovation by upskilling talent and ensuring that the right people and skills are in place to deliver exceptional solutions.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product management, UX/UI design, QA, and DevOps) to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables. Create a collaborative and supportive environment for remote and offshore teams.
- Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader both within RxBenefits and in the broader HealthTech community. Represent the company in industry conferences, technical blogs, and community engagements.
- Hands-On Leadership: Get your hands dirty in the trenches when necessary—setting engineering standards, coding, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
What You Bring:
- 15+ years of Engineering Leadership: Proven experience managing large-scale, distributed engineering teams and delivering complex projects from conception to production.
- Proven Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of software architecture, scalable systems, and cloud technologies (preferably AWS). Experience with containerization and non-relational databases.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Expertise in managing software products through the entire lifecycle using frameworks like Agile. Ability to prioritize competing projects and ensure efficient delivery.
- Passion for Healthcare: Familiarity with HealthTech, benefits administration, or related industries is a plus. A deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within healthcare and pharmacy benefit management.
- Visionary & Empathetic Leader: Strong people management skills with an emphasis on building a high-performance culture. You know how to inspire your team, foster collaboration, and build lasting relationships.
- Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate complex ideas and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Educational Background: A degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred). A commitment to continued learning and growth in both technical and leadership areas.
