What You'll Be Doing:

As a Food Service Worker I, you will be a key player in making sure patients and visitors receive their meals with care, in a clean and safe environment. Your tasks will include:

  • Food Preparation & Storage: Follow recipes and departmental policies to prepare and store food for patients and visitors.
  • Sanitation & Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Tray Line Support: Ensure that patient meals are accurately prepared, plated, and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service: Assist guests and patients with meal selections, ensuring their needs are met with a positive attitude.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Basic food production and food service knowledge
    • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and effectively
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Understanding of safe food handling and sanitation procedures
    • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with team members.
