About the Role

As a member of the Production Technology & Operations team, you’ll:

  • Innovate: Use your deep knowledge of production workflows to elevate technical quality, streamline operations, and empower creative visionaries.
  • Collaborate: Be the bridge between production teams, post-production experts, and Netflix’s internal tech innovators.
  • Lead: Train, onboard, and support partners with tools and workflows that define the future of media creation and delivery.

What You’ll Do

Educate and Empower:

  • Be the go-to expert on workflows like Original Camera Footage, IMF authoring, audio deliverables, and archival media.
  • Onboard teams to Netflix’s cutting-edge tools and technical specifications.
  • Create and maintain training resources that make innovation accessible for everyone.

Collaborate and Strategize:

  • Build trusted relationships with post-production supervisors, vendors, editors, and more.
  • Partner with Netflix teams across production, localization, and engineering to operationalize emerging technologies, like AI and cloud-based workflows.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities, then craft solutions that advance the industry.

Innovate and Optimize:

  • Stay ahead of the curve by analyzing data and trends to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Provide feedback on Netflix’s proprietary tools and integrations to ensure seamless workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while seeking to prevent future challenges.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills:

  • A collaborative, empathetic mindset with no room for egos—just brilliance without the “jerk.”
  • Expertise in production lifecycles, post-production workflows, and digital media formats (e.g., IMF, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos).
  • Experience with industry-standard tools like DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, and more.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML solutions, cloud-based workflows, and industry protocols (IETF, SMPTE, ITU).
  • Data-driven problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset that balances today’s needs with tomorrow’s innovations.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience managing technical quality control (QC) processes.
  • Familiarity with tools like Tableau and Airtable for performance analysis.
  • A passion for storytelling and a commitment to empowering creative teams.

Compensation:
We offer a market-driven salary range of $50,000 to $250,000. You choose how much of your pay is salary versus stock options—your growth, your choice.
