Your Role: Be a Catalyst for Change
As a Business Intelligence Analyst III, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning data into actionable insights that shape the future of UCLA Health. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Innovate with Data: Develop and manage databases that streamline workflows and meet regulatory standards.
- Empower Decision-Making: Prepare insightful reports and design dynamic Tableau dashboards for health system leaders.
- Drive Impactful Projects: Lead data-driven performance improvement initiatives using PDCA and Lean methodologies.
- Collaborate & Lead: Work with cross-functional teams to identify challenges, propose solutions, and implement strategies that elevate patient care.
- Leverage Technology: Use your expertise in Python, SQL, Tableau, R, and more to unlock the full potential of data and analytics.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Required Skills & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Tableau, SQL, R, Excel, SPSS, and PowerPoint.
- 2+ years of experience in clinical data analytics, statistics, and quality measures.
- 3+ years of advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with a knack for critical thinking and problem-solving.
- A strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulatory requirements, and challenges.
- Ability to manage system-wide complex projects and lead with creativity and innovation.
- Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) to present findings effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An MBA or MS in a quantitative analytical field.
- 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and Tableau.
- Healthcare experience: At least 3+ years working in the industry.
- Data science expertise: 1+ year of experience in AI/ML, data management, and advanced analytics.
- Project management experience to bring ideas to life efficiently.
