As a Research and Development Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in supporting research and development efforts, from drafting and editing test components to collaborating with cross-functional teams. As a Research and Development Analyst, your work will be vital to the success of Pearson's products. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with a team of professionals—including Research Directors, Project Managers, Psychometricians, and Digital Developers—to support product development across all stages.
Creating & Refining Test Materials: Help develop and refine test components, including record forms, stimulus books, and manuals. Contribute content for scoring software and ensure quality control throughout the process.
Supporting New Product Development: Assist in writing new test items, piloting materials, and working with product managers to ensure that new assessments meet our global standards.
Drafting and Editing Test Components: Help create materials like manuals and test components, ensuring clarity, consistency, and usability for both print and digital formats.
Item Art Specifications: Collaborate with visual and auditory teams to ensure item stimuli meet usability standards and global content specifications.
International Collaboration: Flex your schedule to collaborate with global teams, ensuring all deadlines and objectives are met.
We’re looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment. You should have:
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or educational field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in clinical assessments or research within a clinical or educational setting. Experience with socio-emotional learning assessments and personality disorders is highly valued.
Strong Communication Skills: You’ll be expected to clearly communicate complex information to various stakeholders, and work well in both oral and written forms.
Organizational Excellence: Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of development.
Research & Statistical Background: Familiarity with research methods and statistical analysis is a plus.
Independent & Collaborative: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative to solve problems and follow through on tasks.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with digital tools and the ability to learn new technologies, including mobile and web applications.

Salary: Competitive salary between $55,000 - $60,000 (for full-time roles). Salary may vary depending on experience and location.
