What You’ll Do:

• Lead & Innovate: Own the development and operation of Machine Learning solutions that power Homes.com and CoStar’s industry-leading analytics tools.
• Collaborate for Success: Work with product owners, engineers, and other leaders to bring machine learning solutions to life and solve complex, open-ended problems.
• Shape Strategy: Influence the technical direction and architecture of the platform while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Drive Ownership: From development to deployment, you’ll take full responsibility for your team’s work, ensuring top-quality results.
• Mentor & Grow: Lead, recruit, and mentor a talented team of data engineers and machine learning experts.
• Lead the Charge: Be the go-to advisor for all things AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science, ensuring that your team’s solutions are both innovative and impactful.
• Embrace Change: Advocate for continuous improvement in all aspects—both technical and non-technical—within your engineering teams.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields). Master’s or PhD is a plus!
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing a Machine Learning team, with a strong focus on coaching and growing talent.
• 8+ years of applied machine learning experience, including expertise in Recommendation Systems, Computer Vision, or Text Mining.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, Java, C#, or Scala.
• Real-world experience with large-scale data pipelines and leveraging them for machine learning systems.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model training, and evaluation—experience in turning raw data into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive successful AI-driven projects.
• A passion for continuous learning and applying the latest AI technologies, including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM).
• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-based ML tools like AWS Personalize or Databricks, and experience with streaming and batch data processing.
