What You’ll Do:

• Build & Scale ML Pipelines: Design, implement, and manage scalable machine learning pipelines to ensure seamless development and deployment of models.
• Automate & Streamline Workflows: Create automated processes for data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment to increase efficiency and accelerate time to impact.
• Monitor & Optimize Performance: Continuously track the performance of ML models, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency. Optimize both models and pipelines for peak performance.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders to integrate ML solutions into existing systems and enhance our platform’s capabilities.
• Ensure Data Security & Compliance: Implement robust data security practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Document & Report: Maintain comprehensive documentation of ML processes, workflows, and performance metrics. Provide regular reports on the health and performance of models and systems.

About You:

• ML Expertise: Deep knowledge of traditional machine learning concepts (e.g., LSTMs, RNNs, GMMs, SVMs) and more recent deep learning techniques, including NLP-related experience with word embeddings.
• Programming & Tools: Proficiency in JVM languages, Docker for containerization, and experience with orchestration tools.
• Cloud ML Platforms: Familiar with cloud-based platforms like Amazon Sagemaker and have hands-on experience working with common JVM search and NLP frameworks (e.g., Lucene, StanfordNLP, SparkNLP).
• Deep Learning Frameworks: Experienced with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Signal Processing: A strong understanding of signal processing concepts and their application to large-scale datasets.
• Model Training Automation: Proven experience in automating model training with supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning methods.
• Collaborative Mindset: Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams.

Bonus Points:

• Healthcare Experience: Experience with healthcare clinical data modeling (e.g., OMOP, FHIR) and understanding of clinical data concepts.
• Advanced NLP: Familiarity with Transfer Learning, Transformers (e.g., BERT, ELMO), and multilingual NLP.
• Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance and load testing automation tools (e.g., Gatling, Jmeter) and methodologies.
• Remote Work: Prior experience working in remote, collaborative environments.
