The Opportunity
As a 5G Wireless Staff Researcher, you’ll:

  • Solve complex wireless challenges, designing advanced solutions in areas like massive MIMO, mmWave communication, and non-terrestrial communications.
  • Enhance 5G systems by improving PHY/MAC signaling and procedures for efficiency and scalability.
  • Contribute directly to 3GPP standards through proposals, technical discussions, and defending ideas with robust reasoning.
  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art solutions in link- and system-level simulators.
  • Explore long-term research topics, collaborating with external partners on innovative projects.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education & Expertise: Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Wireless Communication, Signal Processing, or related fields, with a strong foundation in wireless fundamentals like MIMO, channel coding, and RF/EM wave propagation.
  • Standardization Knowledge: Familiarity with 3GPP/IEEE research, focusing on LTE, LTE-A, and 5G NR; experience in Layer 1 and higher layers is a plus.
  • Technical Mastery: Proven track record in areas like mmWave communication, beamforming, codebook design, signaling, and Layer 2 protocols.
  • Programming Skills: Experience with link- or system-level simulators and developing cutting-edge solutions.
  • Research Savvy: A history of IPR contributions, including patent activity, is a significant advantage.
  • AI/ML Insight: Knowledge of AI/ML applications in wireless networks and network architecture is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $130,000
  • Additional opportunities for bonuses and commissions
