What You'll Do
As part of the Scalable Computational Intelligence Group, you’ll:
- Collaborate and Innovate: Partner with data providers, researchers, and systems experts to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions for diverse projects.
- Mentor and Train: Empower researchers by mentoring TACC staff and delivering training on AI/ML best practices.
- Apply and Evolve AI: Utilize advanced techniques to support projects across science and engineering domains, while staying at the forefront of AI advancements.
- Drive Funding Opportunities: Collaborate on proposals to secure funding for cutting-edge research initiatives.
- Communicate Results: Publish reviewed papers, technical reports, and visualizations to share findings and drive innovation.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in science, engineering, or a related field with expertise in data analytics for research.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, frameworks, and algorithms.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with domain experts and stakeholders.
- Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience analyzing scientific or engineering datasets, both measured and simulated.
- Expertise in supporting and extending open-source and open-data solutions.
- Familiarity with HPC environments, workflows, and training researchers in data workflows.
- Strategic thinking with a knack for solving complex problems.
