Your Role:
At Rockwell Automation’s AI Center of Excellence in Austin, you will be an integral part of developing and deploying Generative AI-driven solutions that drive the transition from automation to autonomy in industrial applications. Your work will power advancements in critical sectors like predictive maintenance, quality control, supply chain optimization, and robotics.
As a Research Scientist, you’ll:
- Design & Develop AI Models: Create deep learning and Generative AI models to address industrial challenges across various domains.
- Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with operational teams to design AI-driven solutions that can be effectively deployed in real-world industrial settings.
- Solve Complex Problems: Leverage AI/ML to resolve key issues in manufacturing and industrial processes.
- Integrate AI: Integrate models into existing automation systems to enable smarter, more efficient decision-making.
- Test & Validate: Develop strategies to ensure AI models are reliable, accurate, and safe in real-world environments.
- Innovate: Lead proof-of-concept studies and pilot projects to evaluate and refine cutting-edge AI approaches for industrial use.
- Stay Ahead: Keep up to date with the latest AI advancements and evaluate their potential applications in industrial settings.
What You Bring:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields. Advanced degrees (Master’s or Ph.D.) are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in AI, deep learning, or machine learning research and development.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and experience with reinforcement learning and Generative AI.
- Collaboration: Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and drive results with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for accuracy and precision.
- Edge Computing: Experience with edge computing for deploying AI models in distributed environments is a plus.
