Your Day-to-Day at UTMB:
???? Laboratory Research:
- Perform routine, detailed technical laboratory tasks to support groundbreaking experiments.
- Prepare a variety of chemicals, solutions, and reagents following precise protocols.
- Conduct routine chemical and biological analyses and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
???? Experimentation & Data Analysis:
- Assist in assembling and operating laboratory apparatus for research studies.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare scientific data for laboratory reports under direct supervision.
- Collaborate with researchers to ensure the accuracy and integrity of experimental outcomes.
Skills & Expertise We Value:
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Data collection and analysis using advanced scientific tools
- Experience with molecular dynamic simulations (Gromacs, CHARMM GUI, Schrödinger, Alphafold, ChimeraX)
- Cell culture techniques and molecular assays with imaging analysis
- Coding expertise related to computation, machine learning, and AI
- Robotic assay design, ITC, SPR, and other specialized assay techniques
