Salary: $71,958.00 - $122,328.00 (depending on experience)

ICF is seeking a dedicated Direct Operations Case Coordinator to join our team in supporting the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)'s mission. This pivotal role is designed for individuals passionate about child welfare and working directly with unaccompanied children in care. You will lead a team of Case Coordinators, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality service delivery to enhance the safety and well-being of children in ORR custody. About the Role:

As the Direct Operations Case Coordinator, you will oversee a dedicated team working with care providers and ORR staff to make child welfare-based recommendations that impact unaccompanied children’s timely release, placements, and services. Your efforts will directly contribute to their safety, well-being, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of Case Coordinators ensuring effective coverage at all provider sites within the assigned region.
  • Provide operational oversight and supervision to ensure compliance with program policies, child welfare standards, and regulations.
  • Coordinate site visits and maintain strong working relationships with care provider and ORR staff.
  • Elevate concerns related to mental health, physical health, juvenile justice, and other special needs, ensuring children’s well-being is always a priority.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for case-related issues in your geographical area.
  • Contribute to the safe and timely release of children through recommendations and guidance, working closely with stakeholders.

Travel and Work Conditions:

  • Up to 20% travel required for site visits.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends to meet role demands.
  • Work is a mix of remote and on-site coordination.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field + 5+ years experience in child welfare, case management, or mental health, OR a Bachelor’s degree + 8+ years of related experience.
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to manage a team.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proven ability to assess case files and document information from diverse sources.
  • Tier 2 Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in working with immigrant youth and families.
  • Experience with refugee programs, mental health, or juvenile justice systems.
  • Familiarity with migrant/refugee issues and race equity practices.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
