What You’ll Do:
As a Paralegal at CGS, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced Supervisory Paralegals and Project Supervisors, providing essential litigation and administrative support to United States Attorneys. Your contributions will be vital in helping us deliver high-quality legal services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Mastery: Examine, prepare, and process a variety of technical legal documents, including complaints, motions, and subpoenas.
- Trial Prep Pro: Assist attorneys in trial preparations by assembling trial exhibits, affidavits, and discovery materials.
- Organizational Guru: Maintain organized files and records for active cases, ensuring smooth transitions for disposition or transfer.
- Calendar Management: Track filing, hearing, and trial dates while scheduling conferences and interviews efficiently.
- Travel Arrangements: Prepare itineraries and secure transportation and hotel reservations for legal team members.
- Communication Whiz: Produce a variety of written documents using various office software applications.
Who You Are:
- Experience: At least one year of specialized litigation experience is required, with over three years preferred.
- Skillset: Strong written and oral communication skills, plus proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Pressure Performer: Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines is crucial.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
