SCAD Savannah is looking for a visionary Professor of Interactive Design and Game Development to lead and inspire the next generation of creative technologists. With your expertise in emerging interfaces (XR – AR/VR) and game engines, you’ll guide students in crafting cutting-edge interactive experiences that go beyond the traditional gaming industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Inspire students with your advanced knowledge of UI/UX design for AR/VR and web applications.
• Teach and mentor students in design frameworks like Universal Design, Systems Innovation, and Speculative Design, and explore creative opportunities to solve real-world challenges.
• Work with leading-edge technology to teach students to use Unity or Unreal engines for building interactive experiences.
• Encourage innovation by integrating AI interventions and low-code tools like bubble.io in the design process.

What We’re Looking For:

• A passionate educator with a deep knowledge of interactive design, game engines, and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and experience in deploying interfaces within Unity or Unreal engines.
• Experience or interest in web technologies (JavaScript, low-code tools) and generative AI to inspire the next generation of designers.
• Professional-level visual design experience and the ability to teach students at the cutting edge of interactive design.
• Previous university-level teaching experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Terminal degree in Interactive Design, Game Development, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. MS in Computer Science or HCI will also be considered.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
