We’re on the lookout for a talented Software/Firmware Engineer to join our R&D group. Located in the vibrant Little Falls (Wilmington) area—midway between Baltimore and Philadelphia—you’ll work with an incredible group of engineers and scientists developing state-of-the-art products for our Gas Chromatograph, Automated Sample Handling, and Automated Sample Preparation systems.

???? What You’ll Do:

• Design & Development: Be at the helm of creating desktop and embedded software applications, libraries, and tools.
• Collaborate: Work closely with a cross-functional team of software engineers, firmware engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers, and chemists to develop cutting-edge solutions.
• Innovate: Contribute to the creation of products that support industries such as environmental regulation, healthcare, and security.
• Testing & Optimization: Take ownership of the requirements, design, development, and testing of software applications that power the world’s most advanced analytical instruments.

???? What We’re Looking For:

• Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Skills:
  • Experience in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Proficiency in C++, C#, or Java
  • Familiarity with Linux or Windows development
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for algorithm development, multi-threaded systems, and data structure management
  • Network communications using TCP/IP and third-party software integration experience
  • AI & Machine Learning experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
  • Version Control & Source Code Management (e.g., Git, ClearCase)
  • Experience with web development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks), mobile app development (iOS, Android), and Windows application development (.NET, Visual Studio)
  • Graphical User Interface (GUI) development and database knowledge (SQL)

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI integration, and fine-tuning models
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies
