What You’ll Do:
???? Engage and Educate:
- Teach one to three in-person sections of first-year composition courses per semester (three to nine credits).
- Inspire students to think critically, write effectively, and communicate confidently.
?? Innovate Instruction:
- Implement best practices in English composition pedagogy (WPA guidelines welcome).
- Incorporate multimodal composition and foster creativity in student work.
???? Support Student Success:
- Hold office hours to mentor and guide students through the writing process.
- Evaluate student progress thoughtfully and with limited AI assistance.
???? Collaborate & Contribute:
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and perspectives.
What You Bring:
? Minimum Qualifications:
- M.A. in Rhetoric/Composition, English, or a closely related field (degree awarded by start date)
- A commitment to undergraduate education and an inclusive learning experience
- Dedication to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in education
? Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Rhetoric/Composition or closely related field
- Experience teaching advanced writing, technical writing, or writing in the disciplines
- Knowledge of multimodal composition and educational technologies
- Interest in community-based writing initiatives
