CEMEX USA is looking for a visionary Senior Tax Specialist to lead the charge in data analytics, process transformation, and tax compliance.
In this role, you’ll leverage emerging technologies like Power BI, Alteryx, and RPA, collaborating across functions to improve tax processes and ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
???? What You’ll Do:
- Lead Process Innovation: Optimize tax processes through automation and continuous improvements
- Data-Driven Insights: Develop and maintain analytics tools such as Power BI dashboards and Alteryx workflows
- Emerging Tech Adoption: Scope and implement new technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI solutions
- Tax Compliance Excellence: Automate tax data files for Sales & Use Tax and statutory filings
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT and business teams to design, implement, and maintain third-party tax applications
- Compliance Expertise: Provide internal guidance on sales and use tax issues and assist with research projects
???? What You Bring:
- Experience:
- 5+ years in multi-state sales & use tax
- Hands-on experience with SAP, Vertex, or similar tax platforms
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server, Power BI, and Alteryx
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of process automation and data analytics
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive team collaboration
- Project management and organizational expertise
