What You'll Do:
- Lead a vibrant, extramurally-funded research program focused on computational biology.
- Develop new computational tools and algorithms or apply bioinformatics approaches to unravel complex biomedical challenges.
- Mentor and teach graduate and medical students, contributing to a culture of innovation and learning.
- Collaborate with a network of leading academic, clinical, and research professionals across MSU and partner institutions.
- Contribute to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in research and education initiatives.
What You Bring:
- Doctorate (PhD, ScD, MD, DO, or DVM) or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Proven research excellence with current extramural funding and high-impact publications.
- Expertise in one or more computational biology domains, including bioinformatics, AI/ML, or computational genomics.
- Strong commitment to advancing research, teaching, and mentorship.
- Passion for solving complex biomedical challenges through data-driven discovery.
