Your Mission:

???? Teaching Excellence: Deliver inclusive, engaging instruction across in-person, online, and hybrid modalities. Mentor diverse undergraduate and graduate students, empowering their success.

???? Research Impact: Lead cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning or Cryptography/Cybersecurity. Areas of interest may include AI for Health, Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning, or Responsible AI.

???? Collaborative Innovation: Drive interdisciplinary research and forge partnerships with UW Seattle, UW Bothell, and the Tacoma community.

???? Service Leadership: Shape the next generation of innovators by developing academic experiences and contributing to specialized programs, such as the Center for Data Science.


What We’re Looking For:

? Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a closely related field (candidates in the final stages of their degree may be appointed on an acting basis).
? Proven record (or potential) of excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
? Passion for fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
