???? What You'll Be Doing:
- Audit & Evaluate: Perform chart/coding audits in accordance with regulatory policies and internal audit plans. Address coding errors with re-training initiatives, follow-up education, and reassessment.
- Educate & Empower: Develop comprehensive training materials and curriculum. Deliver coding education to providers and new team members in both virtual and face-to-face formats.
- Coding Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert on ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS, and modifiers, guiding providers through documentation, billing, compliance, and reimbursement processes.
- AI Integration: Conduct quality reviews of coding tools powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ensure they meet the standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify high-risk providers and design tailored education plans to improve compliance and reduce aberrant coding patterns.
???? What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in acute or professional coding and/or auditing.
- Credentials: Must hold a recognized coding certification (CPC, CP-HIMS, CCS-P, or other HIM credentials).
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS coding systems and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
- Proven training and curriculum design experience.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Expertise in analytical thinking and problem resolution.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and graphic design tools. Knowledge of PeaceHealth EHR and 3M software is a plus.
