As the AI Strategy & Cybersecurity Advisor, you'll be the trusted coach to the Dean of Faculty, guiding the development of AI policies, strategies, and best practices to enhance teaching, research, and institutional growth.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership & Advisory

  • Advise the Dean of Faculty on AI strategy, architecture, and academic policy, ensuring alignment with institutional and federal goals.
  • Act as the Dean’s AI coach and liaison, facilitating the adoption and integration of AI technologies into the curriculum and research.
  • Deliver actionable assessments and recommendations on AI-related cybersecurity technologies and methods, ensuring AI implementation aligns with cutting-edge research and best practices.

AI Implementation & Experimentation

  • Support AI experimentation in classrooms, labs, and research centers.
  • Provide expert advice on AI technology configurations and cybersecurity implementations.
  • Act as a liaison between departments and research centers, fostering cross-disciplinary integration of AI technologies.

Collaborative Seminars & Training

  • Lead monthly training seminars and collaborative workshops across departments, helping faculty and researchers experiment, adopt, and integrate AI in their work.
  • Engage in both formal and informal collaborations to address the specific needs of each department.

Strategic Development

  • In the first 4 months, work closely with the Dean to draft a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with the university’s vision and federal policy.
  • Maintain and update the strategy as new technologies and research emerge, ensuring the institution stays ahead of the curve.

What You Bring to the Table:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience working with AI technologies, including AI/ML algorithms, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience as an AI architect, developing AI policies and strategies for large institutions.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science with an emphasis on AI, ML, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience training and coaching teams in AI/ML technologies and infrastructure design.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working in university or research environments and utilizing AI across various disciplines.
  • Deep knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure design and cybersecurity protocols.

Travel & Requirements:

  • Travel: You may be required to travel for at least 4 trips within the USA, involving collaboration with government, military, and contractor teams.
  • Security Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
