What You'll Do:

As an Assistant Teaching Professor in Game Design and Development, your role will be as dynamic as the industry you’re helping to shape. Here’s a sneak peek at your responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Curriculum Development: Lead undergraduate courses and develop new, innovative courses in game design and development. You'll shape young minds and push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of game tech.
  • Mentorship & Advising: Guide and inspire the next generation of game developers, providing academic and career advice to undergraduate students.
  • Collaborative Growth: Participate in committee work, department meetings, and service activities that contribute to the Computer Science department's growth and success.
  • Shape the Future of Online Learning: Help develop and teach online courses, making game design education accessible to a broader audience.
  • Student Engagement: Be a hands-on mentor, leading independent studies and guiding students through their creative, technical, and professional journeys.

Who We’re Looking For:

Do you have the qualifications and drive to inspire tomorrow's game developers? Here's what we’re looking for:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching Game Design and Development or a related field, whether as an instructor of record or teaching assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience teaching Game Design at the college level.
  • An earned Ph.D. or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in the development and deployment of video games, especially in a professional or public capacity (selling or providing games for free).
