Key Responsibilities:
- Teach & Lead: Deliver engaging, cutting-edge courses in data science at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with both on-campus and online teaching opportunities.
- Curricular Leadership: Lead the development and evolution of the data science curriculum, ensuring it meets the highest standards of academic excellence.
- Scholarly Impact: Conduct impactful research in information science and data science, contributing to the growing body of knowledge in the field.
- Service: Contribute to departmental and college-wide service efforts, fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment.
- Other Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to help shape the future of data science education.
What You Bring:
- A Master’s degree in Information Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching in both on-campus and online environments, making complex topics accessible and engaging for all students.
- Strong expertise in data science and a passion for fostering interdisciplinary education in information science.
- Experience in curriculum development, with a vision for evolving data science education in the 21st century.
- A desire to reach a broad audience and promote the value of information science across diverse disciplines.
