Role Overview:As a Postdoctoral Fellow in our team, you will engage in fundamental and applied research to advance the use of AI/ML for generating and transpiling high-performance, distributed-memory computations on GPU-accelerated supercomputing platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work on pioneering projects that push the limits of parallel computing, while maximizing performance, scalability, and maintainability of AI-driven solutions.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and optimize AI/ML-driven techniques for generating and transpiling high-performance computations targeting GPU-accelerated platforms.
- Enhance the performance, scalability, numerical properties, and maintainability of these advanced computational methods.
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at leading conferences in machine learning and parallel computing.
- Collaborate with a diverse and highly talented team of scientists and engineers to push forward the frontier of high-performance computing (HPC).
What You’ll Bring:
- A PhD in Computer Science, Computational Sciences, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field (completed within the last 3 years).
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and parallel computing libraries such as MPI, OpenMP, or CUDA.
- Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs).
- Proficiency in Python or other popular scripting languages.
- Expertise in HPC optimization for multicore or GPU-accelerated architectures.
- A strong publication record and the ability to present research at leading scientific conferences.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with software engineering tools such as make and git.
Position Details:
- This is a 2-year postdoctoral appointment with the possibility of renewal based on performance, availability of funds, and operational needs.
- Salary: $8,321 - $10,418 per month, depending on experience, as per union step rates.
