Position Overview:As a Machine Learning Manager, you will be at the forefront of building generative AI features within Autodesk’s products, collaborating with a diverse team of AI researchers, software architects, and designers. You’ll play a critical role in managing, mentoring, and scaling a talented team of research engineers who are passionate about applying machine learning to design, architecture, and manufacturing. If you thrive at the intersection of research and product development, this is your chance to lead a team working on projects that impact millions of users globally.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a team of engineers working on the cutting-edge of Machine Learning to create AI-driven features that will impact Autodesk products.
  • Guide your team through technology roadmaps, evaluate new features, and deliver solutions that will transform how our customers imagine, design, and build.
  • Build a new, diverse team by recruiting top talent and nurturing an inclusive culture that empowers everyone to excel.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure successful product development.
  • Keep your team on the cutting edge by staying updated on the latest AI and Data Engineering technologies and applying these insights to accelerate innovation.
  • Deliver impactful solutions that integrate PyTorch, deploy production ML models, and utilize AWS services.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in software development.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
    • 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years of experience as a manager.
    • Hands-on experience with training and deploying PyTorch codebases and managing production ML models.
    • Proficiency with AWS, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex and ambiguous challenges.
    • Experience in collaborating with teams across global locations and effectively communicating progress to leadership.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Expertise in data modeling, architecture, and processing across 2D/3D data representations.
    • Knowledge of industries such as design, manufacturing, AEC (architecture, engineering, construction), or media & entertainment.
    • Familiarity with Autodesk products or similar CAD/CAE/CAM software.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $149,600 - $242,000 (starting salary based on experience and location).
