Position Overview:As a Staff AI & Machine Learning Engineer, you will be at the heart of driving innovation across AlixPartners' product and platform portfolio. Your role will blend software engineering, data science, and product delivery as you craft AI-driven solutions that push the boundaries of technology and deliver tangible results for clients. You’ll actively contribute to building proof-of-concepts, evolving them into enterprise-ready solutions, and lead the technical execution of our most impactful AI/ML projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Technical Execution: Dive deep into hands-on coding and technical leadership. Collaborate with architects, front-end developers, and UX designers to build innovative AI/ML solutions that solve real-world challenges. Ensure that features meet product goals and quality standards.

• Drive Solution Development: Utilize your AI/ML expertise to design, develop, and deliver client-focused solutions. Your work will directly impact product innovation by turning cutting-edge technology into practical applications.

• Shape Technical Decisions: Make critical decisions around AI/ML model development, back-end architecture, and data engineering pipelines. Align technical choices with business needs, ensuring the solutions provide the maximum commercial impact.

• Foster Innovation: Advocate for new technologies, best practices, and emerging trends in AI, and champion the adoption of these innovations within the team and across the organization. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the future of AlixPartners’ AI-driven products.

• Create Commercial Impact: Drive the adoption of your AI solutions, helping to elevate AlixPartners’ reputation as a leader in innovation. Your work will be central to how we serve clients and create lasting value.

• Cultivate Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the curve by constantly evolving your technical expertise. Bring fresh perspectives to the table, inspiring the team to stay on top of industry advancements.

What You’ll Need:

• Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM fields.
  • 5-10 years of experience in roles such as ML Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, Solutions Architect, or similar.
  • Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks, technologies, and development methodologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering AI solutions across cross-functional teams and solving complex technical problems.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate engineering teams and drive collaborative success.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset focused on delivering value to clients and business outcomes.
  • Skilled in project management, including experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences and stakeholders.

• Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Advanced certifications or published work in AI, deep learning, or related fields.
  • Experience in applying AI/ML within business consulting environments.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in tech communities.
  • Passion for mentoring and uplifting junior team members and peers.

We offer a competitive salary (ranging from $175,000 - $275,000/year) based on your experience, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package to support your personal and professional well-being.
