Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Analytics: Develop, plan, and manage analytics projects, collaborating closely with the CMI team in an agile environment.
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Use data science techniques to generate insights from large, complex datasets that predict future growth potential.
  • Translate Insights into Action: Create actionable recommendations and business strategies based on deep analytics, with a focus on scaling them across global business functions.
  • Consult and Advise: Serve as an analytics consultant, working with stakeholders to solve problems, innovate, and drive business decisions.
  • Mentor and Share Knowledge: Guide others in advanced analytics methods, data storytelling, and building strong partnerships across teams.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up to date with the latest trends in data science, machine learning, and consumer insights, applying cutting-edge techniques to fuel innovation at General Mills.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in data science or marketing analytics, or
  • Master’s degree in Data Science or a similar field with 5+ years in data science or related roles.
  • Proven ability to turn analytics into actionable business strategies that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Retail industry.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud systems.
  • Experience with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) and Point of Sales or panel data.
  • Ability to work effectively with global, remote teams using agile methodologies.
