About the Role
As a Health AI Scientist (Researcher 5), you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge research in health data science, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing (NLP). You will work on high-impact projects within a newly-formed, innovative team, focusing on solving complex challenges in biomedical data analysis.
With a Ph.D. in fields like Biomedical Informatics, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence, you’ll bring your expertise in machine learning, neural networks, and deep learning to analyze and extract meaningful insights from large biomedical datasets. Key Responsibilities
- Lead AI Research: Conduct computational experiments, implement AI algorithms, and drive research on innovative health and biomedical data science projects.
- Design & Develop: Create novel AI and NLP methods tailored to clinical and biomedical tasks.
- Collaborative Research: Assist with the design, literature review, and execution of new research projects while working with cross-disciplinary teams.
- Communicate Results: Prepare research findings for publication and present results to faculty, researchers, and academic professionals.
- Mentor & Guide: Work with the research team to troubleshoot problems, guide development, and share knowledge in the field.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biomedical/Health Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related technical fields.
- Expertise in Python, Java, and AI techniques like deep learning, neural networks, and machine learning.
- Strong writing and communication skills for presenting complex research findings to varied audiences.
- Self-motivated, with an ability to navigate a fast-paced, evolving research environment.
- Experience solving complex problems in biomedical research and AI fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research experience in NLP, especially with large language models on biomedical and clinical data.
- Knowledge of graph neural networks, predictive modeling, and working with multimodal biomedical data.
- Experience leading AI research projects and collaborating with diverse research teams.
- Familiarity with web services or software implementation in research contexts.
- Proven track record with peer-reviewed publications.
