What You’ll Do:
As a Data Scientist in the Aerospace Command and Control space, you will:
- Dive deep into structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data to find answers and insights.
- Build statistical models and develop machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning) that power aerospace missions.
- Design, execute, and fine-tune machine learning models and predictive applications that enhance mission capabilities.
- Work closely with clients to understand their objectives and provide actionable insights.
- Apply automation, data wrangling, and AI to solve real-world problems in the defense sector.
You'll use cutting-edge tools, including Python, R, Java, and more, to turn raw data into intelligence that can shape critical decisions. Your work will directly support warfighters and military leaders, helping them make informed, data-driven choices in high-stakes situations.
What You Need:
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages like Python, C++, Java, or R.
- Experience with data analysis and data wrangling techniques to cleanse data for use in machine learning applications.
- Hands-on experience with building and deploying machine learning models.
- TS/SCI security clearance (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information).
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with distributed programming languages (e.g., Spark, Scala).
- Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Proficiency in data engineering tools like Databricks, ElasticSearch, Apache NiFi, or StreamSets.
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data lakes/warehouses.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, MLOps, and Agile development.

Salary:
The projected salary for this position ranges from $96,600 to $220,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and location.
