What You’ll Do:
???? Innovate with the Best
- Work on advanced AI and ML technologies, focusing on areas like Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Search, Conversational Agents, and AI Optimization.
- Drive innovation by designing system architectures and applying ML models to improve Atlassian’s products, enhancing collaboration for millions of teams worldwide.
???? Lead AI/ML Research
- Conduct rigorous experiments, model evaluations, and AI applications to solve product challenges.
- Work collaboratively with a brilliant team to develop state-of-the-art AI solutions that can make a real-world impact for enterprises.
?? Scale and Optimize
- Play a key role in building and scaling machine learning models, experimenting with cutting-edge techniques, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
- Contribute to Atlassian Intelligence features, driving new innovations that will enhance team productivity and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
???? Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- PhD (or in progress) in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong foundation in AI/ML, LLMs, Optimization, and related techniques.
- Experience researching, building, and scaling ML models using large datasets.
- Agile development mindset, embracing iteration and continuous improvement.
???? Desired Skills & Attributes:
- Proficient in Python programming and writing clean, efficient code.
- Expertise in libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Familiarity with NLP, Computer Vision (CV), Reinforcement Learning (RL), and AI Optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, complex problems, breaking them down into manageable tasks and delivering innovative solutions.
- Passion for applying machine learning in real-world scenarios and working with a team to make meaningful change.
Compensation & Benefits:
???? Base Salary Range (U.S.):
- Zone A: $173,300 - $231,100
- Zone B: $156,000 - $208,000
- Zone C: $143,900 - $191,800
